Asus Launched Voice Calling Tab with a 7-Inch Display for Rs 12,999

Asus announced the FonePad 7 dual-SIM, a 7-inch voice calling tab at the Mobile World Congress. The tablet is essentially offers the same features as its single-sim iteration, barring the additional dual-sim functionality.

Asus Fonepad 7 offers the world’s most innovative combination of mobile phone and tablet.  In terms of design and build, the tablet is not very different from the earlier versions of the Asus Fonepad. It has a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, boasting a pixel density of 216ppi. It is essentially made of plastic and follows a conservative, utilitarian design philosophy.

The new Asus Fonepad 7 is powered by a dual-core Intel ‘Clover Trail+’ Atom Z2520 processor, the same chipset that powers the Fonepad 7 (second generation), clocked at 1.2GHz alongside 1GB of RAM. The tablet runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.


The tablet comes with a 5-megapixel primary camera and boasts a 2-megapixel shooter at the front.  The tablet is meant to be used in portrait mode. Faster mobile internet can be enjoyed with the Wi-Fi support and the 3G network support in one of the two SIM slots.

Other than that the tablet is paired with Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. ASUS has packed 3910 mAh battery in it which claims to provide about 28 hours of talk time on 3G network. The interesting design folds neatly for your satisfaction as a stand and its safety as a cover.
